TRANSFERS. oh man.
We´re together again! Nothing happened, thank heavens because this week was very crazy! But we´re grateful to have another transfer together in Las Palmas and we´re setting a goal to get all our progressing investigators, baptized and all other investigators progressing. We have so many investigators that are so prepared, but there is always something stopping them. We´ve been a little perpluxed at what we can do but I think if we just put more trust in the Lord and love them to death we´ll see some miracles.
The topic for most of our lessons this week was about modern-day prophets. Fi, who was supposed to be baptized on Sunday, and Yasmina both have said that they don´t believe there is a modern-day prophet. They both said that they´ll believe that he´s a great leader, but not a prophet. It´s been a little (scratch that- a lot of little) stressful and there were a couple of moments when I wanted to just take a nap, but I remembered what Elder Ballard said to us in October. I thought of the Savior and pictured Him in my mind and like Elder Ballard said, I felt better immediatly. I was reminded that this is NOT my work and I can´t do this alone.
Even though we felt it was a bummer week, the Lord gave us little miracles. For example, we had an investigator, Rocio, finally come to church and that was an absolute miracle. In all, though it was a stressful week, I am forever grateful for the power of prayer and the peace that comes from it and scripture study.
We´ve been getting double eating appointments and we are DEFINITELY FEELING THEM. Hopefully, it was only for the celebration stuff (like Valentine´s day, etc.) and we´ll get back to our normal size. Soon, I hope.
So Fi kept on failing us this week with almost EVERY lesson and one time it was the life or death lesson (the one that depicts whether or not he gets baptized) and...no show. so we decided to sticky note his door to make him feel better, etc. they were nice uplifting notes with scriptures and everything. so the next day we go over and see him.
´´So, Fi! Did you see your door?!´´
´´Yeah.´´
´´Did you like it?!´´
´´No.´´
´´Wait. What?´´ You didn´t like it?! Was it too much?´´
´´Demasiado.´´
Which means, WAYTOOMUCH. That was.........no sé. hahaha funny. Also, we have this awesome investigator named Alex and he´s just wonderful. We asked him to pray about whether or not this church was true and he came back to tell us he had prayed about whether or not our church was true...or the budhists. um. ok. his answer? they´re both true. he said our church and budhism is the same. then he said that the budhists don´t believe in God. DINGDING thats the problem. We think he was wondering if the budhists are good examples to follow, cuz they´re peaceful people, ya know.
Last thought, we visited more of sasha´s family! Its Pino and Loli´s family. I sent a picture and they are SO wonderful! we actually feel that we can get them involved more in the church through activities for the Young adults and Young womens. they seem very receptive and are really just wonderful. we love them already.
well! There´s our week! it was good and incredibly stressful, but it was still good.
love ya!!
